Public’s Assistance Needed to Locate Fugitive

Lucas B. Wittmayer, a 26-year-old Albuquerque man, is being sought for kidnapping charges in the Western District of Texas. Jonathan Ocon of Albuquerque, his brother, Ivan Ocon, of Las Cruces, and Wittmayer were indicted on May 17, 2006, on federal kidnapping charges related to the May disappearance of an El Paso youth.

On May 4, 2006, a 16-year-old male was kidnapped in El Paso, Texas, and taken to Ciudad Juarez, Mexico, where he was held for ransom. The 16-year-old was recovered safely in Mexico and returned to the U.S. on May 6, 2006. The Ocon brothers were arrested in New Mexico on June 19, 2006, for this crime. Wittmayer is still being sought.
