Parra Arrested for Child Pornography

The El Paso Federal Bureau of Investigation arrested Fernando Parra, 31 years of age, of El Paso, Texas, on January 31, 2008. Parra was arrested on three counts related to child pornography.

Parra was arrested in El Paso without incident. This was a probable cause arrest.

He is charged with one count of receipt/distribution of child pornography, 18 U.S.C. 2252(a)2; one count of possession of child pornography, 18 U.S.C. 2252(a)4B; and one count of interstate transportation of obscene material, 18 U.S.C. 1462.

Parra’s initial appearance is this afternoon before U.S. Magistrate Judge Norbert Garney.
