FBI Assists with Investigation

The El Paso Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) is assisting the U.S. Marshal’s Service with its investigation into the death of Deputy U.S. Marshal Vincent Bustamante. The FBI has opened an Assault on a Federal Officer case, which is a routine investigation anytime there is an assault or death of a federal agent.

“We are asking for the public’s patience as we work jointly to complete this investigation,” said Special Agent in Charge David Cuthbertson. “We do not want anyone to draw conclusions about the circumstances surrounding this death until we know the details.”
